Has anyone tried or got Quick finder clippers that have warning lights when you are near the quick, they are safe and very easy to use, they are for sale in this country for around £25 but if you look on ebay you can get them from USA for nearly half the price including p&p it took 10 days for shipping quite fast really

Re: Quick Finder Clippers
I have never used them and dont own a pair. I just use traditional nail clippers for all the dogs ive ever clipped. If a person clips the dogs nails properly and take about a milimeter off at a time then there should be no problems when finding the quick! A small amount of nail should be taken off, so prevent the quick being cut.

Re: Quick Finder Clippers
clipping a dogs nails is easy, i went to college for 3 years and i studyed grooming for a year whilst i was there and learnt how to clip dogs nails. it is easier than most people think. if a person is not confident clipping there dogs nails themselves, all they need to do is start off with a bit of nail at a time and they will soon become confident in doing them. I have always clipped my dogs nails and other dogs nails and i have only had one accident with cutting nails, that was with a guineapig. it moved as i went to cut the nail and i slipped and cut the quick. it soon stopped bleeding, it looked worse than it was.

Re: Quick Finder Clippers
I just use the normal dog nail clippers , but Pepsi doesn't need them done much as , she always has a good road walk as well as the fields so this helps keep her nails in trim , she does have a pamper setion sometimes
