you may not know that your animal is ill just be looking at them, so it is vitally important to do a full health check regularly to make sure that there is nothing wrong with them. check their eyes, nose, ears (inside & out), mouth, teeth, tongue & gums, body condition (hair, skin, weight), limbs (signs of limping & abnormalaties), feet, pads, inbetween toes & nails! in most cases your dog may look as though they are fine as they hide their ill health and injuries all too well, because if they are injured or ill they see it as a sign as weakness & a predator could potentially pick them off easier. (survival instincts)!
