I am trying to find somebody with a Dogue de Bordeaux bitch to breed with my stud. Bently is a prime example of the breed, big with all perfect features. He is KC registered, his pedigree name is Otto Beefcake and comes from a very good bloodine. f you are interested in breeding or would like to know more information or see pictures of him then please feel free to contact me at mr.l.johnson@btinternet.com or on 07525 059 303. Thanks.

Reply-Thanks for you're reply...I have not shown Bently and do not intend to to be honest as I know somebody who used to show Neopolitan Mastiff's and and I learnt a few years ago that the majority of shows are fixed and pathetic examples of breeds have won and the best ones have been shunned, if it wasn't for this then I would have shown him at every chance I've had...if you give me you're email address then I will be happy to send you some pictures of Bently so that you can see him.

Hi Leeboy,
is it a while since you have been to a dogshow?
my dogs have won plenty on merit and i wouldn`t know the judges if they knocked on my door right now
The kennel club have changed all that now they have kc reps at shows watching every move they know if shows or breed classes are fixed
why dont you post a pic of Bentley we would love to see him

Sorry people, no matter how much I try this website will not let me upload photo's either to this topic or to a photo album for some daft reason but I've managed to upload 1 as my avatar for you to see and can change the photo's that way. I will keep on trying to upload them though incase its a glitch on the site.

Re: Dogue de Bordeaux at stud
I've not had any health checks done but he is perfectly healthy and has not had any problems whatsoever, he is also the son of a champion who has won a few events including 1 or 2 that were outside the uk.

Re: Dogue de Bordeaux at stud
with a breed like yours and ours a breeder should have health checks done like hips & elbow scores etc buyers of puppies need to see proof of this (vet certificates)
i could breed say my rottie and say she is sound but she could be prone to HD I know she is sound as she has been scored but people who pay good money for a puppy deserve proof of this

Re: Dogue de Bordeaux at stud
Nice lad.
A little tip. He has to have his hips scored whether his had no probs or not. It's what may be down the line when he is older. When I breed Tia she would only go with a dog hip scored, and other owners would think like me also, either that or they don't give a damn about the pups. There are way too may pups out there who are coming from un-hipped scored parents, and I wouldn't touch one of them pups either lol

Re: Dogue de Bordeaux at stud
would also elbow score if i was to ever breed ddb's again. does not matter how good his lines are or how much winning his sire has done, this does not stop health issues this breed has taken a battering over the yrs and is still really a young breed.
