Vegas has been out on alot of walks since she had her full course of vaccinations. We have mainly taken her to Saltburn Valley Gardens which is lovely, loads of people and their dogs. when its been quiet we decided to let her off the lead, as we trust her to come back and stay besides us when walking. Today she was absolutely great, we walked for miles with her off the lead, she was no bother. if she walked ahead, she would stop and wait for us to catch up. If she was walking beside my oh and i was walking behind, she would look up at him and then look back at me to see if i was still there, it was well funny. When we saw a dog we didnt know we put her on the lead just incase she ran over and the dog was nasty or didnt want the bother for her being a pup. She was so happy having the freedom to run and walk off lead. When she went too far, we were calling her and she just came trotting back to use, great recall and we havent really drilled it into her.

Re: RECALL & OFF LEAD WALKING!
I bought a recall lead when suki was really small so she had a bit of freedom on the beach and feilds but i still had controll, now she walks off the lead and i only put it on near the school not for her sake but for the mums that look at me like iv brought a gun to the school. Because we have only have titch for 4 months i dont trust him off the lead unless suki is with us because i know when i call her she will come and titch will follow but i dont think he would come back if he saw something more interesting came along

Re: RECALL & OFF LEAD WALKING!
none of mine ever listen to me lol, we have to keep them all on the lead most of the time and just let them off when theres no one around. they do come back eventually but not very often first time. haha. not worth the effort trasining really, much easier just to stick them on the lead.
